- Camera: We access your camera solely to let you photograph your fridge contents. Images are sent to Google's Gemini AI for ingredient analysis and are not stored on our servers.
- Account Information: When you sign in with Google or email, we collect your name and email address via Firebase Authentication.
- Usage Data: We collect anonymized usage data (e.g. number of scans) via Firebase Analytics to improve the app.
- Shopping List & Saved Recipes: Data you create in the app is stored in your private Firebase Firestore account.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide AI-powered recipe suggestions based on your fridge contents
- To authenticate and maintain your account
- To sync your saved recipes and shopping list across sessions
- To display relevant ads via Google AdMob
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, and analytics
- Google Gemini AI: Image and text processing for recipe generation
- Google AdMob: Advertising
- Google Sign-In: Account authentication
4. Data Retention
Your account data is retained until you delete your account. Fridge images are processed in real-time and not stored. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
5. Children's Privacy
Smart Fridge is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We use industry-standard security measures including Firebase's built-in encryption and secure authentication to protect your data.
