Sum Tiles

Sum Tiles ("the App") is a mobile puzzle game developed by an independent developer. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data. By playing Sum Tiles, you agree to this policy.

1. Data We Collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to provide leaderboard and daily challenge features:

• Anonymous user ID — Firebase Authentication generates a random ID for your device when you first launch the app. No email, phone number, or real name is collected or required.
• Display name — an optional nickname you choose yourself (up to 16 characters). If you do not set one, a short random identifier is used.
• Game scores and level — your highest score, current level, and rank name are stored to power the global leaderboard.
• Daily challenge completion time — if you complete the daily challenge, your time (in milliseconds) is recorded to show the daily leaderboard.

All of the above is stored in Google Firebase Firestore, a cloud database provided by Google LLC.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

• Real name, email address, or phone number
• Location or GPS data
• Device contacts, camera, or microphone
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA / GAID)
• Financial or payment information

The App contains no advertisements and no in-app purchases.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Display your score and rank on the global leaderboard
• Display your daily challenge time on the daily leaderboard
• Show the fastest daily player's name on the home screen

We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond in-game features.

4. Local Storage

The App stores game progress (level, score, settings, streak, hints) locally on your device using Android's SharedPreferences. This data never leaves your device unless explicitly synced to Firebase as described above.

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Authentication (Google LLC) — anonymous sign-in. Privacy policy
• Cloud Firestore (Google LLC) — leaderboard data storage. Privacy policy
• Google Fonts — fonts loaded at runtime. No personal data is sent. Privacy policy

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your leaderboard entry (anonymous ID + display name + score) is retained as long as the game's backend is active. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the email below. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data immediately.

7. Children's Privacy

Sum Tiles does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App does not require account registration and uses only anonymous identifiers. It is suitable for all ages.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
